As mentioned on our About Us page, this was added in 1998. This was opened on 18th September by the Hon. Harry Woods, MP.
Research
Our volunteer research staff will be pleased to assist visitors with family history and other local historical information.
This department has well over 30,000 indexed records of local names and events together with family histories, birth, death and marriage indexes, cemetery records, many photographs and copies of local newspapers dating back to 1859 and much more.
Fees are charged for Research. Mail and email requests must now be sent with a non-refundable payment of $25, either by cheque or by direct deposit.
Please include your mailing address when you send a request.
When the money is received, our researchers will spend time finding the information you seek and send it to you.
